Chief Justice Chief of Supreme Court Chancellor Issa Abu Sharar discussed several scenarios that insure the spinning of Judicial authority circle and carrying out its duties and keeping the rights and freedoms during the current circumstances.
The discussion was made during the meeting of Judicial Authority Emergency Committee which was formed by Chief Justice of Transitional High Judicial council to process the state of emergency and updates that might arise at any moment, and to communicate with national institutions and international actors.
The attendees evaluated the work of regular courts during the state of emergency; knowing that the presidents of courts were tasked compatibility with prosecution in different governorates to identify weekly working days which guarantee ongoing of case disposal for detention cases, requests for release, in additions to requests of release and retreat of sequestration orders in execution cases.
It is worth noting that Transitional High Judicial Council has mandated its chief justice on March 8th, 2020 to make decisions that could guarantee the continued operations of each court separately and in accordance to updates of the situation on the ground, besides to maintaining the role of judiciary in keeping public rights and freedoms.
