Workshop on Forensic Medicine and Criminal Science

On Sep 29, 2015 – 30 judges from Magistrates, First Instance and Supreme Court participated in workshop on forensic medicine and criminal science within "Capacity Development in Forensic Science and Medicine" Program funded by Canadian International Development Agency and implemented by UNODC.

The workshop aimed to develop judges' capacity and experience in managing and utilizing the system of forensic science due to its relevance to their work. Expert in Forensic Medicine David Wells delivered an explanation for forensic science and criteria that must be followed in forensic medicine report.

The workshop delivered training in several topics: sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, drowning, drug and physical trace examination and firearms.

It is worth noting that High Judicial Council policy is constantly looking at new ways to upgrade and improve the efficiency of judges in forensic science topics.
