On March 3, 2016 – Chief Justice Sami Sarsour met with Forensic Expert Sarah Donnelly and delegation from United Nations on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) to discuss cooperation.

During the meeting, they discussed preparing and training judges in the field of "forensic medicine reports" in order to provide reliable and probative evidence regarding criminal activities.

Chief Justice emphasized the importance of forensic medicine and forensic science due to its integral part between justice sector actors: judiciary, police, prosecution and Ministry of Justice. H.E also assured HJC complete readiness to cooperate in this field and the necessity of following clear criteria while choosing judges.

Both parties agreed to prepare training program on training of trainers (first phase) for a group of judges who are expected to be reference to their colleagues and to deliver experience for them; all this will be done in cooperation with experts from Forensic Medicine Institution in Jordan. The second phase is to train gender and juvenile justice staff at HJC on issues related to forensic services and family protection.
