On Aug 30, 2016- Chief Justice Chancellor Sami Sarsour met with European Union delegation and Head of Cooperation Alessandra Viezzer at High Judicial Council premises to discuss latest developments regarding the construction of Qalqilia new courthouse and other projects funded and supported by EU.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed with his Excellency: outputs of the visit to Qalqelia new courthouse and their meeting with head of the court, priorities of justice sector strategic plan 2017-2022, they also discussed providing support in facility management field and courts administration as well as the possibility of building Justice Palace in Ramallah.   

For his part, Chancellor Sarsour assured that facility management is a key subject in courts and that HJC pays special attention to this subject because it integrates within courts work mechanism and it will be considered within HJC budget.  

Judge Sarsour emphasized the importance of holding specialized workshops on facility management and courts administration.

Both parties agreed on the schedule of transferring files and furniture form the old building of Qalqelia Court to the new one.
