Feb 16, 2016 – Chief Justice Sami Sarsour met with Supreme Shariah Judge Dr. Mahmoud Habash to discuss transferring the execution files of Shariah Courts' decisions from Regular Courts to Shariah Courts. This meeting came to complete other efforts have been done from both parties in the same field.

Chief Justice assured the importance of having strong and developed Shariah Judiciary in Palestine since it touches directly most aspects of citizens' daily life which reflects positively on society in general and on family in particular. H.E also emphasized HJC complete readiness to support Shariah judiciary in legal aspects and rehabilitation of staff.

For his part, Judge Dr. Habash indicated to the importance of speeding up the steps of transferring process but safely and smoothly, knowing that there has been a committee working on this file in accordance to a specific time plan.

It is worth noting that the meeting was attended by high-level delegation from Shariah Judiciary, General Secretary of HJC Nassar Mansour, Director of Judicial Inspection Department Mohammad Diwik, Legal Advisor Amer Shaheen and General Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs Mohamad Sharakeh.
