On Nov 19, 2016- Acting Chief Justice Chancellor Emad Saleem Sa’ad met with delegation from JASP represented by Project Director Emery Edward, Deputy Director Mahmmud Shaheen to discuss the establishment of a unified specialized facility for keeping seized evidence in each governorate that provide services for judiciary, public prosecution and police.
Mr. Edward presented an explanation for JASP project and their partnership with justice sector institutions in Palestine.
During the meeting, the attendance discussed the proposal of choosing a governorate as pilot phase to start the implementation of this facility, it is worth noting that the delegation paid huge interest to chief justice opinion concerning the integrated relationship between judiciary, public prosecution and police.
For his part, Chancellor Sa’ad expressed his appreciation and assured the importance of specialized place and appropriate environment for keeping seized evidence in order to secure and guarantee the quality of these materials over time.
