High Judicial Council Holds Workshop on Facility Management in Courts  


On Oct 9, 2016 - High Judicial Council held a workshop on Facility Management in Courts in cooperation with EU and with participation from Judge Izzat Al-Ramini representing acting Chief Justice, Mrs. Simona Galotta representing EU, team leader Dr. Pim Albers, Mr. amer Shaheen from Attorney General Office. The workshop discussed best international practices in facility management as well as developing a plan able to activate works and systems of this kind of management in order to guarantee sustainability and ability to provide litigation services with high quality standards and facilitate access to justice.

Judge Izzat Al-Ramini passed best wishes from Acting Chief Justice for all attendance and assured the importance of planning and identifying objectives for finding suitable litigation environment based on freedom of litigation. He also expressed deep appreciation for EU role in providing continuous support for Justice sector and HJC.

Mrs. Galotta gave a presentation on EU role and its partnership with judiciary, public prosecution and civil society institutions.

It is worth noting that "Institutional Strengthening of High Judicial Council in Palestine" Project based on developing courts infrastructure and following up work sustainability in the new buildings.
