On Jan 18, 2016 – High Judicial Council concluded three-day training on "Gender-Based Violence", the training targeted ten judges from regular courts at Palestinian Judicial Institute and organized by EUPOL COPPS.
The training aimed to deliver several issues: gender-based violence, role playing for a case of gender-based violence, different forms of gender-based violence in Palestine, and the international legal framework and best practices in this field.
Supreme Court judge Iman Nasser pointed out the challenges facing cases of abuse based on gender and solutions that should be worked on, not forgetting cultural factors, socialization, customs and traditions in Palestinian society.
For his part, Deputy of Ministry of Justice Mr. Mohammad Abu Al-Sondos thanked all parties who worked to achieve training goals.
