On Jan 27, 2016 – Chief Justice Sami Sarsour met with a delegation from American Bar Association – Rule of Law Initiative represented by Judge Rosemary Barkett and ABA Deputy Director Maha Shomali to discuss ways of cooperation between both parties.

The delegation informed chief justice about ABA activities in 80 countries around the world among them Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain. Chancellor Sarsour confirmed council's participation in the panel of "Moot Courts" competition that will be held on Jan 30-31, 2016 between six Palestinian universities.
