On March 20, 2016 – Chief Justice Sami Sarsour and Supreme Shariah Judge Dr. Mahmoud Habash held a press conference to announce the finisging of law draft on execution files of Shariah Courts' decisions.

Chief Justice Sami Sarsour assured the importance of this law which will achieve a group of objectives: enhance the independence of Shariah Judiciary, provide suitable litigation environment and privacy especially for women and children, speed up the execution of Shariah Courts' decisions, reduce backlog; indicating to the importance of finishing all the process steps in order to transfer the execution files of Shariah Courts' decisions from Regular Courts to Shariah Courts in accordance to a specific time plan. H.E also thanked the joint committee that prepared the law draft as well as SAWASYA Program for providing successful support.

For his part, Judge Dr. Habash indicated to the importance of this law draft emphasizing that this program is the basic for series of future projects. He thanked HJC for their complete readiness to support Shariah judiciary in legal aspects and rehabilitation of staff.

It is worth noting that the committee from HJC party was represented by Legal Advisor Amer Shaheen.
