On May 24, 2016 – High Judicial Council delegation chaired by Chief Justice Sami Sarsour participated in 11th Conference of International Association for Court Administration on 18-20 May 2016 in Hague- Netherlands.
Chancellor Sami Sarsour presented a paper on Palestinian Judiciary model through HJC which considered the top of the pyramid of judiciary in Palestine. The paper addressed developing the Palestinian national legal framework to cope with international conventions and best practices on international level. It also gave a brief on Palestinian Judiciary and plans that have been developed in cooperation with justice sector to facilitate fair trial and access to justice.
H.E talked about challenges and obstacles facing judiciary in Palestine, and appreciated the role of countries that support justice sector and participate in strategic plans which aim at providing public services for all citizens.
During the visit, Chief Justice Sarsour met with President of International Criminal Court to discuss mechanism for applying to ICC.
