Judiciary Day : focusing on achievements of the judiciary
The Judicial Authority celebrated Palestinian Judiciary Day at the Grand Park Hotel in Ramallah on June 16, 2009 with the theme, "Courts Grant Access to Justice". The crowd of 400 included Palestinian ministers, members of the legislative council, lawyers, judges, civil society institutions, donors, and the media.

The Status of the Palestinian Judiciary in Public Opinion Polls
The HJC announced the results of the recent poll concerning the citizen’s view of the judicial authority. The survey was prepared by the Arab World Center for Research and Development and the Netham Project. Those surveyed worked at various government, non-government, and media institutions.

MIZAN Training Session
The chief clerks began training for the new court automation system, MIZAN, on Saturday March 7, 2009. It was the first in a series of training sessions, endorsed by the Chief Justice, that will take place through out the year and focus on developing the professional skills and efficiency of court employees.

Training for criminal case management
On Friday, March 6, 2009, the training department from the High Judicial Council (HJC), in cooperation with the Netham Project funded by USAID began a training course for First Instance and Conciliation Judges in the southern provinces of the West Bank.

The HJC Unifies Enforcement Procedures in First Instance and Conciliation Courts
The Honorable Chief Justice Issa Abu Sharar, Head of the High Court, issued a memo to judges from First Instance, Conciliation, and Enforcement Judges. The memo announced the unification of enforcement measures in all courts covering all procedures starting from filing until disposition.
