Chief Justice Meets Delegation from EUPOLCOPPS

On Jan 19, 2017 - Chief justice Chancellor Emad Saleem Saad met with EUPOLCOPPS delegation chaired by Head of Mission Rodolphe Mauget to discuss cooperation, future plans and to follow up the mission's evaluation.

Mr. Mauget conveyed his warm greetings and congratulations to Chief Justice on his new position wishing him success in providing services for judiciary and litigators.

During the meeting, the attendance discussed the programs on EUPOL COPPS agenda for the year 2017 which focus on justice sector in Palestine, review the mission's evaluation for the year 2016; they also talked about judicial inspection and the amendment of Judicial Authority Law.

His Excellency assured the importance of judicial police role at courts; indicating to the need of increasing the number of police personnel and preparing training programs to meet their needs and enable them to fulfill their duties in accordance to best practices.

All attendance asserted the importance of identifying the roles and responsibilities of each actor in justice sector in order to guarantee achieving progress in work.
