Chief Justice Meets Delegation from New York District Court & U.S. Department of Commerce

On Aug 8, 2017 - Chief Justice Chancellor Emad Saleem Saad met with Judge Denise Cote from New York District Court and experts from U.S. Department of Commerce to discuss priorities and training needs of Palestinian judges on intellectual property, trade mark, arbitration, anti-trust and franchising.

His Excellency Chancellor Saad assured the importance of cooperation and exchanging experiences in the topic mentioned above in order to cope with the new developments in the field of commerce and investments.

For her part, Judge Cote showed her interest in judicial system in Palestine and seeks to exchange experience with her counterparts from Palestinian judges, she also mentioned that there are similarities and overlapping topics between courts in United States and Courts in Palestine.

It is worth noting that a workshop will be held on august 9, 2017 on intellectual property, trade mark and franchising targeting judges from Palestinian First Instant Courts.
